About me

Agus Gampok setiadi

I grew up in Medewi, West Bali. I learned surfing in the point breaks around my home village, caught my first barrel in the shores of Bukit and landed my first aerial in the endless beach breaks of West Bali. People are calling me Gampok (which means slap in Indonesian) because I have always been putting my full passion, energy and love into surfing since I was a little kid. I have been happily living in France for 12 years, learning how to speak French fluently (oui, je peux vous apprendre à surfer en français) and improving my surfing skills in the heavy beach breaks of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Mimizan.

I love to teach surfing and guide you on your surf trips through Indonesia. And I love to have fun and joke around. I am very excited to see you riding your first wave soon, to share the stoke with you or to witness you reaching your goal in surfing!

I am a certified Surf Coach and Instructor, certified from the International Surfing Association (ISA).

I am happy to teach you surfing in French, English, Indonesian or Balinese – or even switch between the languages if needed.
